PATENTS  VI.  Do I Need to Make a Model to File a Patent Application?

Picture

In most cases it is not necessary to make a model of your invention in order to file a patent application in the United States Patent Office.

If the Patent Office questions whether your invention will function, the Patent Office may request a model or other proof that the invention will actually work.  This hardly ever happens.
